1. Don’t get stuck on the side of the road!
I’m pretty sure no one ever plans for their BMW, Mercedes, Audi, or any other vehicle to breakdown while away from home. 2. Make special games/ traditions
After about an hour in, you might start hearing, “are we there yet?” Keep everyone entertained by creating some silly traditions, or “road rules.” For example, make a new tradition to learn everything you can about the state you are driving in. Whenever you enter a new state, look up famous people who have lived in that state, the state flower, state song, state motto, state flag, etc. Keep track of all the state license plates you can find. When you see an American flag, sing the national anthem on the top of your voices. Get creative and have fun!
3. Have a vehicle emergency kit in your European car at all times
This is a necessity that unfortunately, many overlook. Whether you are driving your Volkswagen, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, etc. around Farmington Hills, other areas of Michigan, or anywhere in the country, make sure you pack an emergency kit. This kit can be lifesaving if something unexpected happens or your car breaks down. You should have things like bottled water, a road map, granola bars, blankets, a fully inflated spare tire, jumper cables, and a flashlight in your vehicle emergency kit.
